Social Media Marketing
Using social media sites to gain website traffic, increase sales, or spread brand awareness is social media marketing. These methods can come in the form of organic or paid. Similar to search engine optimization content through social networks can be created to increase social signals in order to establish rank in order to reach new audiences, engage with existing audience members, or establish and promote the goals of a specific website.
As a founding member of the Penn State World Campus social media team, I have had the opportunity to create and curate content for the following platforms:
Through leveraging platform-specific analytics, third party management tools, creating custom audiences for the purposes of remarketing, and amplifying brand messaging through promoted content, social media marketing is becoming an increasingly integrated channel, allowing site owners to naturally interact with users across various stages of the conversion funnel.
